Is Incest Legal Somewhere?

People have this instinctive reaction to tell you that it is not legal, because it is generally taboo in many societies. But the truth is, adult consensual incest is legal in some countries.
In Belgium, the Netherlands, and France, incest laws were abolished some 200 years ago in the French government period. Incestuous relations between a parent and minor child are prohibited and punished by law but not between adults.
Brazil, India, Israel, Luxembourg, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden and Turkey do not have criminal punishments for consensual adult incest. In Italy, incest is punished as a criminal offense (Art. 564 Penal Code) if, and apparently only if, it causes 'public scandal'.
Romania and Switzerland have considered repealing their incest laws.
In Japan, the Civil Code of Japan restricts family marriages, but incest is not a crime. Incest law was abolished there in 1881.
Rhode Island repealed its criminal incest statute in 1989, Ohio only targets parental figures, and New Jersey does not apply any penalties for incest to anyone over the age of 18.
EDIT: India does have punishment for incest under certain circumstances, depending on religion, and region.
